Search for Singers for Choral Festival
St Edmundsbury Cathedral will play host to a diocesan choral festival on Sunday 13 October and are looking county-wide for singers to join the St Edmundsbury Singers and the adults of the Cathedral Choir who are performing at the service.
The afternoon will be led by the Cathedral’s new Director of Music, Claudia Grinnell, and accompanied on the mighty Cathedral organ by Assistant Director of Music, Richard Cook. At the same service thanks will be given for the ministry of Diocesan Elders, so it promises to be a real celebration.

Registration by Sunday 6 October is essential in order to take part in this event. You can sign up as a group or as an individual singer, so if you’re not a member of a church choir but love to sing, please still come along! Under 18s are very welcome to participate but must be registered and accompanied on the day by an adult.
Claudia Grinnell, Director of Music at St Edmundsbury Cathedral, says, “Making music together is such a wonderful experience, especially in a place as special as the Cathedral. Do join us for an eclectic feast of music by Giuseppe Pitoni, Peter Nardone and Charles Wood. All are welcome!”
The day will include a rehearsal, the service and tea afterwards. All those interested in taking part are asked to register for the festival via the Eventbrite page.
