FORUM

The Forum is a congregational meeting, a little like a church’s Parochial Church Council. With about 30 elected members and another 10 who are there by virtue of their office, it is a useful discussion group, a vehicle for information sharing, and a sounding board for the congregation. Most meetings have some set agenda items and then a chance to look at an issue in more depth.

A list of the current members of Forum can be seen here.

Ideas for subjects for discussion from the congregation are welcomed and should be sent to the Secretary of the Cathedral Forum, Louise Martin (by email).

Revision of Electoral Roll – 2024

Our Electoral Roll is a list of the Cathedral community (subject to eligibility); inclusion gives us a right to vote in certain meetings and stand for elections. It is a way of being part of the church family. Any lay person who is baptised, over 16 years of age and residing within the Cathedral parish or who has worshipped with us here for more than six months (including worshipping via Livestream) can join the Roll.

Each year the Roll is updated and so those new to the Cathedral community and eligible are warmly invited and encouraged by the Dean and Chapter to join.

Notice is hereby given that the revision of the Cathedral Electoral Roll shall take place from 23 March to 6 April.

Application forms are available at the back of the Cathedral. This year we are only revising the Roll again so those already on it, will remain on it; and they should not complete a new application form. (The six yearly full renewal took place in 2019).

The revised Roll will be presented at the APCM on Tues 23 April.
