Funerals at St Edmundsbury Cathedral

When someone dies, we can help you to say your final goodbye in a way that is meaningful. Anyone can have a funeral at the Cathedral. We can tailor the service to your requests so it’s as unique as the person whose life you’re celebrating.

We also offer thanksgiving or memorial services and the burial of ashes.

The member of our clergy who will lead the service will be the main point of contact for the family for anything pastoral.

Prices vary but start from:

• Funeral in Lady Chapel: £484
• Funeral in Quire: £774
• Funeral in Nave: £1089
• Cathedral clergy to lead service elsewhere: £206
• Interment of Ashes: £150

All of these include an organist and basic service order. Additional costs may be added dependant on the services chosen.
