Nine Lessons and Carols
A Festival of Lessons and Carols is an English creation made widespread by its institution at King’s College. Our service is based on that tradition and is a service of nine readings, or ‘lessons’, and carols.
Each year at Nine Lessons and Carols, we invite representatives from the community to make one of the readings, as a way of recognising their contribution to our shared life in the county.
