The Bury St Edmunds Society has awarded a grant of £10,000 to the ambitious Abbey of St Edmund heritage project, making it the first organisation in the town to provide financial support.
St Edmundsbury Cathedral, together with its partners West Suffolk Council and English Heritage, announce the appointment of the architects and the full team of consultants to the The Abbey of St Edmund: A Millennium of English History in West Suffolk.
On Sunday 17 November at 3.30 pm, a special service took place at St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Bury St Edmunds, to honour five men and women for their contributions to the life of the Cathedral, the Diocese and the wider community in Suffolk.
Local creative group STARS, Stitch and Textile ARt in Suffolk, have presented St Edmundsbury Cathedral with an embroidery which is now displayed in the Tourist Information Point.
We're delighted to announce that The Reverend Dr Victoria Johnson, Dean of St John’s College Cambridge, is to become visiting Canon Theologian and a non-executive member of the Cathedral Chapter.
On Sunday 27 October at 3.30 pm a special service will take place at St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Bury St Edmunds, to celebrate Bury Drop In and the work they do supporting the homeless and vulnerably housed.
