Today we should have set off on a 5-day pilgrimage from St Benet’s in Norfolk to Bury St Edmunds, as part of the Abbey 1000 celebrations. In 1020 King Canute brought monks from St Benet’s and Ely to found a Benedictine monastery which would house the shrine of St Edmund.
Instead, this week, we offer two virtual pilgrimages.
This one below takes you on a journey around the Cathedral building itself.
Later in the week we will offer one around the Abbey Gardens.
