Welcome to InHarmony

InHarmony is the cathedral’s project to resource and equip congregations, to make the very best of music in worship, whatever the tradition, size or context. With an emphasis on musical and spiritual integrity, we want to enable churches and benefices to realise their musical potential and lift hearts and hands and voices in building the kingdom of God.

1.30 – 3.30pm: WORKSHOP led by Geoff Weaver

Suitable for all who enjoy singing. Geoff has enjoyed an illustrious career as a conductor, organist, teacher and missionary. His extensive travels have enabled him to gather a large collection of worship songs from churches across the globe – many of which have been published in the collections entitled World Praise and In Every Corner Sing. He will demonstrate how simple songs from other cultures can be incorporated into the worship of our churches in order to heighten awareness of the worldwide church, to inspire and empower our prayer. Many of these songs can be easily used in small churches with limited resources.

Tickets for the workshop cost £10 (under 18s free), and can be obtained HERE

4.30 – 5.45pm: WORLD PRAISE SERVICE

A colourful, inspiring and uplifting service led by the Bishop of Dunwich. Music will be directed by Geoff Weaver and Richard Hubbard, with Cantus Firmus Choir, and will include songs from many countries, and will include several that will be taught in the workshop. There will be special focus on the Kagera Project – our Diocese’s link with the Kagera Diocese in Tanzania. Project co-ordinators Chris and Anji Dawkins will share up to date information on their work, and there will be an opportunity to pray for the project and for the worldwide church.

Admission to the service is free. There will be a retiring collection.
