This year the Suffolk Association of Fairtrade Towns is marking Fairtrade Fortnight from 9-22 October.
St Edmundsbury Cathedral, as a Fairtrade Cathedral, also focusses on Fairtrade during these weeks. Fairtrade refreshments are available in Pilgrims’ Kitchen and Fairtrade products are sold in the Cathedral Shop.
Across the County, schools and young people will be engaging with Fairtrade during the fortnight. A link up, via Zoom, between Suffolk schools and Patrick Kaberia, in the link Diocese of Kagera, is scheduled to take place, giving the school children the chance to hear first hand about the challenges of farming in an African country. A full programme will be available here shortly.
