St Edmundsbury Cathedral

Do join us for the Diocesan Climate Evensong Service when Bishop Martin will join us along with Bishop Darlington from our link diocese in Kagera.

The service will include interviews:

  • Richard Stainer will interview the Kagera Diocesan Secretary, Thomas Shavu, about the mitigation they are planning for the effects of climate change.
  • The Rev’d Anita Rooney will interview the Rev’d Lynda Sebbage about the A Rocha Gold Award in her parish of Barrow.

Music will be led by our Cathedral Youth Choir, joined by Exeter University Chapel Choir – including Haydn’s ‘The Heavens are telling the glory of God’ (Oratorio The Creation).

James Rolls, Net Zero Carbon Officer for the diocese, will be one of our  readers and The Rev’d Alison Alder, Diocesan Environment Officer, will lead prayers.

All are welcome as we bring the climate crisis into our worship.
