A Pilgrimage of Song

July 6, 2019 | 9:45 am 6:00 pm

This year’s Pilgrimage of Song follows a circular route around Felixstowe, taking in the sea front, the town, and the surrounding countryside

The day will start with a workshop at which we learn the music repertoire for the day. There will be a variety of music styles, with a mix of unison singing and some 4-part harmony – some easy, some a little more challenging, but certainly something for everyone.

We then begin our walk, calling at several churches and singing a short service in each. The day ends with a hot meal.

Come prepared to sing or simply listen. Those who can’t walk the whole route may make other arrangements for travel between churches.

There is a donation of £10 per person, or £5 for anyone under 30. The meal, which is optional, is an additional £5 per person.

Please book by Sunday 30 June. Please click here to book.If you have any problems using the booking form please get in touch using our Contact Form, or phone Wendy Hubbard on 01473 659048

On the day please meet at St Mary’s Church, Walton, IP11 9DS. The walk will end at Maidstone Road Baptist Church, and is 7 miles long.

This event is organised jointly by Cantus Firmus Trust and St Edmundsbury Cathedral.
