East Anglian Artists’ Exhibition
The annual exhibition of East Anglian Artists’ takes place at St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Bury St Edmunds, from 23 to 29 August. Open daily from 10am to 5pm in the Edmund Room, the exhibition is free of charge. Showcasing the best of East Anglia art in a range of media the exhibition is a favourite in the Cathedral’s calendar.
It is organised by the Friends of St Edmundsbury Cathedral and profits from the sales of artwork support the mission and ministry of the Cathedral. The Friends was founded in 1942 and has made generous contributions to enhance the Cathedral’s fabric and music.
Visitors are welcome to purchase exhibits when they visit, and stock will be regularly updated.
‘Visitors will find pictures to suit all tastes,’ comments Sarah Friswell, PR Manager at the Cathedral. ‘Their purchases will contribute to the work of the Cathedral as it seeks to be a place of welcome to all.’
The exhibition takes place in the Edmund Room, accessed via the Cloisters. A lift is available to access the first floor.
