Christmas with the Cathedral Choir Tickets Now on Sale
Our special festive evening of much-loved carols, hymns and songs for Christmas is back! On Saturday 9 December at 6.00 pm, the boy and girl Choristers, together with the adult singers of the choir, will be performing a range of wonderful music for the season, together with plenty of opportunity for the public to join in with their favourite Christmas tunes, including Hark the Herald angels sing, O Little Town of Bethlehem, and God rest ye merry Gentlemen.
Timothy Parsons, Director of Music at St Edmundsbury Cathedral, said, “We hope the people Suffolk will join us at their Cathedral for this fun Christmas concert. After the success of last year, we’d love to see the Cathedral full of festive cheer again this year! As well as some favourite choral items from the choir, you will have a chance to hear the mighty Cathedral organ play some seasonal tunes.”
Tickets are on sale now from just £8.00 and can be booked here.
Bishop Martin said: “Sally has been working with us to strengthen and develop church life in our rural communities and I am delighted that she is now taking on this expanded responsibility. She brings her rich experience of growing rural churches and has a significant national profile for pioneering creative approaches to rural mission and ministry.”
Sally said: “It means an immense amount to be chosen for this new post. My passion has been rural mission for many years, so this new and innovative role feels like the fulfilment of a dream. The role is simply about helping people to experience God’s love in rural Suffolk in all sorts of ways from creative worship to combatting isolation. This is not something I’ll be doing on my own though, I will be part of a gifted team.”
